This is a very interesting short sword from the 19th century that we originally believed to be German, given the German maker and style, but from our research we found this to be a Danish Model 1869 Craftsmans Sabre, or Hndvrkersabel M 1869. The sabre is marked on the ricasso: P. D. LNESCHLOSS SOLINGEN This marking is for P. D. Lneschloss, Fabrik blanker Waffen, located in the legendary blade making city of Solingen.
