The cutlass is designed in the classic Figure of Eight fashion, with the entire cutlass having a similar peppery oxidation. The cutlass has suffered the salt air of the oceans and is typically rusted (stabilized) and pitted. This example has a lovely brass diamond attached to the bowl guard,
