This is a fantastic example of a lightly used US Navy Rear Admiral flag. The flag itself dates approximately to late WWII into the Post War era. It is in fantastic condition with minimal wear and staining present. As flag officers, the flags flown for rear admirals of the unrestricted line of the U. S. Navy have one or two white, single point up stars on blue fields for the lower half or upper half, respectively. The
