This is an exceptional example of a genuine British "Brodie" Mark II steel helmet that is dated 1942 on the shell, and 1943 on the liner. The stamping on the underside of the rim reads: 017 I BMB 1942 B. M. B. stands for Briggs Motor Bodies Ltd., who produced Brodie helmets during the war from 1939 to 1943. The paint appears to be in very good condition, though it does look to have been field repainted once. Shell is
