Original Rare Belgian Model 1850 Socket Style Bayonet for Muzzle Loading Rifle Made By N.C. Lardinois French Uniforms meaning soldiers again addressed himOriginal Item: Only One Available. This is a very interesting Belgian socket type bayonet, designed around 1850. It doesn't have an actual socket, but instead mounts to a gun by sliding in to a channel on the barrel, and there is a spring type lock at the end. This was designed to fit a muzzle loader marked "N. C. Lardinois, Armourer De Le Roi Des Pasys Bas" on the rifle. The base of the blade is maker marked A S. Condition is quite good considering
