TULIPS Hand Dyed on Sock Perfection - Splashed & Speckled Yarn seascape collection Lothlorien

Lothlorien

Here's the scene: Just as Aragorn is about to go to the paths of the dead to gather a mighty force to fight Mordor

Chasing Orcs and Hobbits on Stained Glass Fingering

he looks forward to his life as an old man looking backward at his life while sitting by the fireside

I dyed the yarn in a way that follows the colors in the painting from left to right

TULIPS Hand Dyed on Sock Perfection - Splashed & Speckled Yarn seascape collection LothlorienThis colorway was inspired by a visit to the Tulip Festival in Holland, Michigan. Many of the people who live there had ancestors from Holland who brought the beauty of their homeland with them. Tulips feel like the absolute epitome of spring to me. YARN BASE I dyed it on Sock Perfection, which is perfect for everything from socks to shawls to sweaters and beyond. It's made of extra soft superwash merino and nylon.
