This is lovely example of a Luftwaffe Officer's Schirmmtze Visor Cap, which has been fitted with a lightweight white summer crown. The design of this cap is very similar to a naval "combination cap", and allows different crowns to be installed depending on the time of year. The white crown is "whipcord woven" on the exterior, and has a light weight white canvas lining, which is part of the crown, and not permanently
