This is a very nice example of the Mauser Model 1871 Infantry Rifle, manufactured by Amberg Arsenal in what was then the kingdom of Bavaria in the German Empire. It is covered with Imperial German inspection and acceptance markings, even on the wood stock. It bears serial number 17126 on the barrel, receiver, bolt, and just about every other part that would a serial number. We would consider this an "all matching"
