This is a very nice example of a U. S. Civil War issue Whitney Navy . 36cal percussion revolver, with a lovely honest used patina. It was purchased at a recent military auction, looking to have seen a good amount service during the war, and possibly afterwards. It does however look to have been relatively well cared for, and doesn't show any major oxidation issues, and even still has part of the original cylinder
