this 2019 is still in its youth — a chance to lay down a Pessac-Léognan second wine from a strong recent vintage
Les Athletes du Vin VdF Chardonnay 2024 4JULY25SALE obsessed with acidLes Athletes du Vin is a negociant project from the Loire's natural wine collective Vini be Good, pooling organically farmed fruit from a roster of seriously good growers into honest, value driven bottlings (the cheeky Michel Tolmer label art is a tell). This Chardonnay is a fresh, unfussy take on the grape: clean stone fruit and citrus, no oak getting in the way, just easy Loire drinking. A weeknight white that punches above its weight.
