This is quite densely fruited with floral and freshly turned earth aromas adding interest to the wild and medium-toned red berry fruit

There is less color in this 2011 (I popped a bottle of the 2010 for comparison) and more notes reminiscent of Cabernet Franc (Alejandro Vigil harvested even earlier in 2010)

the Brovia Barolo can be a real overachiever

the palate is beautifully nuanced and poised

I like the mouthfeel of the equally tension filled and mineral driven middle weight flavors that exhibit evident minerality on the bone dry, liner and youthfully austere finale. This is also quite good and worth checking out.
