He entered France on 23 9 15 and served with field bakeries. He later served with the Durham Light Infantry, 1 8th battalion, number 88908, and he was reported missing on 15 7 1918. He was reported as a released POW on 23 1 19 and discharged on 23 2 19. The medals are GVF, the ribbons original and somewhat tatty.
